The King's Consort
Couperin Trois Leçons de Ténèbres European tour, 2011
The King's Consort will tour Couperin's vividly atmospheric Trois Leçons de Ténèbres in Europe during March 2011. Two acclaimed, world-class soloists join TKC: soprano Carolyn Sampson and Norwegian mezzo-soprano Tuva Semmingsen, both of them regular performers with Robert King and TKC for many years. They are joined by Susanne Heinrich (bass viol), Lynda Sayce (theorbo), and Robert King (chamber organ). Performances are scheduled in London's Wigmore Hall (4 March), Bruges, Belgium (9 March), The Hague, Netherlands (10 March) and in Zaragoza, Spain (14 March). A CD recording will also take place during the period 6-9 March.

Performances of this programme outside the main touring period with soprano soloists Mhairi Lawson and Claire Debono include Avignon, France, on 10 October, 2010, Valencia, Spain on 14 April 2011 and Mechelen, Belgium on 6 May 2011
